Preposition Mistakes in English for Specific Purposes: The Case of Indonesian Accounting Study Program Students

چکیده

Prepositions remain challenging for learners of English as a foreign language. Linguistically speaking, prepositions are part grammar and frequently used in listening, reading, writing. Thus, this research investigated the mastery undergraduate accounting program students batch 2021 at private university Yogyakarta. The data quantitative were collected through close-ended questionnaire using Google Forms distributed to 23 students. analyzed identify preposition mistakes. Results showed three common problems prepositions, namely addition unnecessary omission misuse prepositions. findings would assist students, thesis advisors, teachers grammatically, particularly Specific Purposes (ESP). It is expected that future researchers utilize larger sets obtain more robust results proper uses observe participants directly maximize data.
